The following images from the Center for Disease Control are examples of adverse reactions to the smallpox vaccine. Some of the reactions shown are at the site of the vaccination while others, called “accidental auto-inoculations” are usually located in an eye or the mouth or other location that the child has touched after touching the site of vaccination.
